Subject: Needs studies of "plural of the plural"
Dear Colleagues,
Are there any studies of the jamʿ al-jamʿ phenomenon, e.g.,
fatḥ > futūḥ > futūḥāt
fayḍ > fuyūḍ > fuyūḍāt
rajul > rijāl > rijālāt
and why only certain plurals are pluralized again and not others? Is there a list of common plurals that are pluralized again somewhere?
