[Athapbasckan-L] Last-minute conference updates

Hello friends,

I'm sorry not to have kept everyone updated more frequently, but
fortunately all is well and it looks like we're all set for the
conference.  Just a couple reminders or clarifications (hopefully not too
late):

*If you're making handouts, I'd say anywhere from 50-75 handouts if you're
in Katimavik A or B, and more like 100-150 for the plenary talks.  If you
don't have enough handouts don't worry, there's a Staples in Yellowknife
which is open on the weekends and they have a copy and print centre.

*It seems there has been a little bit of confusion, but lunch is actually
not included in the conference registration fee.  We do have a coffee and
snack break in the mornings which is included, and coffee and tea in the
afternoon which is also included.  However, for lunch we recommend that
people go out and try one of the other nearby restaurants downtown
Yellowknife, as the hotel restaurant is likely to be very busy during the
conference.  We will be including a list of restaurants in the conference
packet that you get upon registration.

*Conference presentations will be recorded by Pido Productions for archival
purposes (for ECE), so please be aware that if you give a presentation or
ask a question, your voice may be recorded.  As for the media, there will
be media outside the conference (in the lobby) who will be interviewing
people who are willing to be interviewed, but they will not be directly
filming the conference sessions, as I understand it.  We (the organizers)
will also take a few pictures to write our final report, but we won't let
the media film people without permission.
