[Cadaad] CfP: language of the manosphere

Dear colleagues,
together with Alexandra Krendel, Jessica Aiston and Mark McGlashan, I have been asked to submit a proposal for a special issue of the journal Critical Discourse Studies on the language of the manosphere. As you will see from the call for papers<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VZwNAbxjc2NJDvbjo_W_FUJevJoBJaCbfLirn40jKF4/edit?usp=sharing>, we are particularly interested in  studies from non-Western contexts and in the potential of linguistic research to lead to concrete positive interventions. The deadline for extended abstracts of 1,500 words is 1 December and while we don't have fixed dates beyond that yet, first drafts are unlikely to be due before May 2025.
