[Cadaad] Important CADAAD Updates

Another CADAAD conference in books. CADAAD 2026 in Valladolid was a huge success and a truly memorable few days. Thanks to all of you who participated! It was nice to see so many of the CADAAD community and to meet many first-time attendees.

Following a meeting of Executive Committee members who were present and of the Journal's editorial team, we have some important news and calls for involvement:

Next CADAAD Conference
We are looking for venues for the conference in 2028 and possibly also 2030. If you are interested in hosting, guidelines and a proposal form can be found: https://www.cadaad.info/conferences. If you'd like to discuss applying, please drop me a line at: sbennett at amu.edu.pl. Applications should be submitted by Aug 21st.

Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is looking for two early career members (currently a PhD candidate or recently awarded their doctorate). If you are interested, please send a CV and short covering letter to sbennett at amu.edu.pl. Applications should be submitted by Aug 21st.

CADAAD Journal
The CADAAD journal editorial team are looking for 2-3 proofreaders. For more details and to apply, please contact: franco.zappettini at uniroma1.it

New CADAAD Special Interest Groups
We would like to keep the CADAAD conversations going, especially in-between conferences. So, we have decided to set up a range of special interest groups. These will be 'bottom-up', run by the CADAAD community rather than by the Executive Committee.

We envision these as semi-regular online meetings where people can present work in progress, collaborate on research or simply discuss important topics.

To start with, we'd like to set up 6-8 SIGs and we're currently inviting suggestions of SIG areas. SIGs can be thematic or can be methods or theory-based.

We are also looking for SIG Heads, who will be responsible for organising meetings. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact sbennett at amu.edu.pl
