current and future readings

Hi everyone, 

Well, it looks like no one (myself included!) has had a chance to read the
Altheide & Michalowski article planned for last month.  (A couple of people
mentioned to me offline that they weren't able to locate/access that
particular article.)  Shall we take a look at it in August, or move on to
something else?

I did meet Veronica Koller, the author of an article Brendon had
recommended, at the AILA conference.  She said that she would be interested
in joining us for discussion of that article:

Koller, V. (2005). "Critical discourse analysis and social cognition: 
evidence from business media discourse." Discourse & Society 16(2):
199-224.

She is doing some very interesting work on metaphor.  Perhaps we can look at
that article in September, when more of us are back from vacation? 

By the way, several people have joined the list in the last few months; feel
free to introduce yourselves and let us know what your interests are.
