Plé ar theanga agus ar litríocht na Sean-Ghaeilge is ábhar do liosta seo
OLD-IRISH-L. Réimsí staire na Sean-Ghaeilge agus Meán-Ghaeilge is mó atá i
gceist, ach pléitear ann, leis, ceisteanna a bhaineann le hOgham agus le
teangacha Ceilteacha na Mór-Roinne (an Ghaillis agus Ceiltis na hIbéire,
mar shampla) nuair a bhaineann na cúrsaí sin le cúrsaí Sean-Ghaeilge.

Gaeilge agus Béarla príomhtheangacha plé an liosta seo, ach bíonn fáilte
roimh theachtaireachtaíi dteangacha eile a bhaineann le hábhar. Más ceist
faoi chultúir na gCeilteach i gcoitinne is mian leat a phlé, nó faoi úsáid
téamaí ársa i scríbhinní na linne seo, moltar duit leas a bhaint as liostaí
eile (mar shampla CELTIC-L) a bhfuil freastal maith á dhéanamh acu ar na

OLD-IRISH-L is a  forum for discussion of the language  and literature of
early Ireland. The main emphasis of the  list is on Old and Middle Irish,
but Primitive (Ogham) Irish and Continental Celtic (Gaulish, Celtiberian,
etc.) as  well as modern  Celtic languages  are also discussed  when this
material is  relevant to Old  Irish. The  main working languages  of this
list are  Gaelic and English.  Relevant contributions in  other languages
are also welcome. Discussions of Celtic cultures in general, or of modern
fictional reworkings of ancient themes, should be directed to other lists
which already serve that purpose very well, such as Celtic-L.
