Subject: The role of the plural morpheme in Irish
A chairde,
I'm doing some research on the role of the plural morpheme
in a number of languages including English, French,
and Korean. I would be interested in considering
Irish examples as well. In addition to my own knowledge
of Irish, I'm also using the Christian Brothers' Grammar
and Gramadach na Gaeilge agus Litriu/ na Gaeilge:
An Caighdea/n Oifigiu/il. Can anyone on this list recommend
journal articles that deal with singular and plural nouns in
Irish and especially their use after numbers (ie the inflected
form being used after personal numbers where as the non-
inflected form being used after regular numbers)?
Le bui/ochas,
Tom Ihde
