extracting random sample of utterances

Dear Caro,
Javier is right that the programs can't do this now. His Excel
method sounds like a good approach.
I am guessing that the VOCD program does some randomization too. If
Leonid gets a break from other
things, we may talk about how hard this would be to implement.
