CHSTRING

Hello everybody

My name is Adda and I am in the process of updating old transcripts of longitudinal child language studies to fit the newest Chat format. I would like to use CHSTRING but I am not getting my way with it yet. I made a changes.cut file for the replacements and wrote it like the manual says: 
" oldstring " " newstring ", using the +c command in the command string like this: CHSTRING +c Birna07.txt

However, CHSTRING doesn't make any changes even though there are plenty to make. Is there something I am missing?
