Problems opening CLAN

After having downloaded CLAN for Windows, I get the following message
"Clan MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close",
when trying to open the program. I have removed program, rebooted
computer etc but I am still unable to start the program. Any
suggestions on what I can do or what the problem might be?
