clan program download

Hello,
I am conducting a workshop on CHILDES & CLAN and am trying to have relevant 
programs and files downloaded but our university does not want to download them 
because the download apparently alters the windows registry. I can run the 
programs off of my laptop but wonder if there is another solution.  I've tried 
installing to different locations on our network to no avail, given that I do 
not have permission of network administrators.
