Two problems with CLAN, Quicktime and other software

We got two recurrent problems with the installation and use of CLAN and
Quicktime.

1) The first problem is limited on PCs as far as I know. There seems to
be some interferences between CLAN and Microsoft Office at Install time. The
quite frequent result (I got this on several machines with XP) is that the
icons displayed but the explorer program of Windows for CLAN files are
incorrect and cannot be modified, even with installation et desinstallation.
This is not a functional problem but it is strange and not nice (files are
more difficult to find). This problem can be more bothersome when it is not
possible to change the file association and it's always Microsoft Word that
is associated with CLAN files. This is more a problem because you always
have to open files from CLAN (not using explorer) but also it seems that
this creates some problems with the use of API fonts.

2) The second problem is the coding of %mov: and %snd: inside bullets.
Sometimes, even with Quicktime movie files, the bullets created has the
%snd: format. Once again, this is not a major problem but the result is
possible confusion between sound and movie files. Also some files are of
mixed format when they have been edited on various machines.

Thank you for your help
