Dear Florence,
Of course CLAN shouldn't crash, but it appears that PhonFreq is
not totally broken. If you set your working directory to /lib/samples
and type
phonfreq modrep.cha
You get a reasonable output and no crash. So, maybe the input file is
problematic. But, CLAN should provide some sort of error message,
rather than crashing. I tried to make it crash on other files with no
luck. So, it may be necessary for you to send us the specific file
that makes it crash. But, first please check to see if other CLAN
programs crash and such.
