Ah, I see.  Actually, I would be more optimistic about being able to do some 
basic tagging even here.

OK, but many of the sentences are much longer and more evenly distributed 
between both languages, which would make this more complex.

That's useful to know - I'd missed that reference.

OK, though my colleagues probably won't want to pursue this option - 18% of 
the words in this file are marked L2 :-)
