removing media codes in CLAN output

Hello,

I have tried to remove media codes using both the chstring
instructions ("chstring +s"_*_" "" sample.cha"), which produces :

>From file <ana02a.cha> to file <ana02a.str.cex>
750
**- NO changes made in this file
Done with file <ana02a.str.cex>

and the bullet.cut command in the manual ("chstring +crem_bullets.cut
t.cha") which outputs:

chstring +crem_bullets.cut ana02a.cha
Can't open either one of the changes files:
	"rem_bullets.cut", "C:\CHILDES\CLAN\lib\fixes\rem_bullets.cut"

I have copied the bullet.cut file into the working directory, and I
can see the bullets in the .cha file.

I must be missing something.

Thanks for any help on this, or any tips for a simple way to remove
the codes in Excel (the bullets don't appear as characters I can find
and replace for some reason.)
