chatter CLAN to XML

Hello
I am trying to use the latest version of Chatter (1.0-alpha-87) to convert
some .cha files to xml (specifically these files
http://www.flloc.soton.ac.uk/get.php?taskid=LDCP9&type=transcription) and I
get an error message the key part of which I think is "InvalidRegex: pattern
value '[\p{L}\p{N}][-/_'.\p{L}\p{N}]*' is not a valid regular expression", I
am using "J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 update 19" on windows XP.
Any suggestions?
