excluding [+ bch] in MLU computation

I tried the following command to compute MLU (I want to get MLUw over
multiple files, and I want to exclude utterances tagged with [+ bch]):

mlu  +t*CHI  -t%mor  -s"[+ bch]" +u @

And I got this error:

Multi-words are not allowed with option: "-s[+ bch]"

I can't find anything about this in the manuals. Am I missing
something?
