Frequency of verb forms by verb type

grep '\*HYW' my_original_file.cha > myHYW.cha
where HYW is the speaker ID.

grep comes with GNU/Linux and Mac OS X.

On Microsoft Windows you could use something like Wingrep 
(http://wingrep.com).
