Walker controller problems

I'm new to using Walker Controller. Working on Mac running version 
10.14.2.  I have downloaded the 12-Jan-2019 CLAN. Unfortunately, I'm trying 
to insert bullets after having entered 20-odd lines of transcription 
instead of following the advice to insert all bullets before transcribing. 
Problem: If I set the start point in the Walker Controller window to 
anything other than 0, or if I get to a point by using, say, F8, and then 
click on F5, start point jumps to end of file. Help?
