Dear Info-CHILDES and ChiBolts,
Yesterday, Apple released the new Catalina operating system which no longer supports 32-bit applications, including CLAN. Leonid has been working for several months on creating a 64-bit version of CLAN. However, it could be several more months until it is available. So, if you need to use CLAN on OS X, you will want to avoid updating to Catalina. The alternatives are:
1. Shift to using CLAN on Windows
2. Install Catalina, but also install Mojave under VMWare Fusion or Parallels and then run CLAN in that virtual machine.
3. Use TRJS to create files in CHAT. TRJS is available from http://ct3.ortolang.fr/trjs <http://ct3.ortolang.fr/trjs>
