kwal use

Hi Patricia,

	I have to assume about what could be wrong, because you haven't given the KWAL output from Clan Output window or indicated how you plan to use the KWAL output.

By default KWAL and most of command work on speaker tiers only. You can see this information in Clan Output window just below the command line. For example:

> kwal +s$SDI:Sin t.cha
kwal +s$SDI:Sin t.cha
Mon Dec 26 10:04:32 2022
kwal (21-Dec-2022) is conducting analyses on:
  ALL speaker tiers

To tell KWAL and other commands that you are interested in %spa tier you need to add +t%spa option to command line. For example:

> kwal +t%spa +s$SDI:Sin t.cha
kwal +t%spa +s$SDI:Sin t.cha

kwal (21-Dec-2022) is conducting analyses on:
  ALL speaker tiers
	and those speakers' ONLY dependent tiers matching: %SPA;

Next if you want to use KWAL output for analysis by other commands, then you need to add +d option to create CHAT legal output. And if you want to to analyze other dependent tiers or use some other commands like KIDEVAL, EVAL or FLUCALC you need to add +o%, +o@, +d and +f options. For example:

> kwal +t%spa +s$SDI:Sin +o@ +o% +d +f t.cha
kwal +t%spa +s$SDI:Sin +o@ +o% +d +f t.cha
