% Word Error

Dear Susan,
   
 I assume you are talking about EVAL (mostly used for studies of aphasia), rather than KIDEVAL (mostly used for studies of child language).  

The % word errors figure depends on the use of the [*] code.  Are you saying that you entered two cases of [*] and that still the output said there were no errors?  

Here is how the manual describes % word errors for EVAL:
 % Word Errors: percentage of words that are coded as errors [*]. These numbers are based on the speaker tier and include revised and repeated material. This item can be displayed as a raw number rather than a percentage by adding +o4 to the EVAL command. 

To understand this better, Leonid or I would need to see your input file.
