Jim just sent me a copy of his list privately.

I'd passed over the Haida Gwaii connection in my query. Terry G. has
Chinook-speaking contacts in Gitksan territory, and I have been in touch
with a Kwakwala speaker who has a lifelong family friend in Kitimat who
speaks Chinook fluently. Meanwhile, I have heard from two Chinook speakers
(non-native) here within the Lower Mainland, and have received two e-mails
from a couple of guys in Corvallis who have been studying it privately;
I've put them on to Tony and Fritz.

I think it's time we gave Ethnologue a wake-up call........

Regards

Mike C.
