I hope it's OK to break into English (Kingchauch lalang), as it may be
necessary to get some points across. Hopefully my knowledge will increase
to the level which I can become more fluent. My friend Corey introduced
me to Chinook Jargon 2 years ago and I have been studying casually ever
since. It has interested me as a way to get in touch with the heritage of
the Northwest. I am specifically interested in keeping the Jargon alive
by speaking it but have little experience in how it the phonetics work.
I'm glad to be apart of this Listserv and I hope I can bring something of
value to it.
