I am looking over James Wickersham's Nisqually vocab. The fire or cook
places are in relation to their position in the Longhouses. The Nisqually
word for "fire beds" is "Squoho-dat.", fireplace is Sqwho-dallie. This may
be the direction we need to be thinking in in terms of the jargon names for
things. How are they in relation to the surrounding house.
