Stender, Mary Lynn. "Chinook Jargon vocabulary as an indicator of cultural
change." 1993. vii, 233 leaves : map ; 29 cm. Thesis (M.A.)--Western
Washington University, 1993. Includes bibliographical references (leaves
97-107)...Masters thesis...Anthropology.

The writer's point is that Chinook Jargon genesis postdates contact with
non-Indians, and that changes in the vocabulary of the language over time
reflect cultural change due to increasing interaction with non-Indians.
