Hayash mersi.  M. Dale Kinkade has much of value to say about Chinook
Jargon, though I suspect he'd say the contrary, since he's "specialized" in
about a dozen Salish languages instead of CJ!

And thank you for relaying Dell's invaluable comments on /waptu/ ~ <wapato>,
which I always welcome very warmly.

Thanks also to George Lang and the rest of our group, for excellent comments
on this week's threads of conversation.  It's a privilege to participate in
this group with all of you.

I'd like to briefly repeat my comments to the effect that Chinuk-wawa is
blessed to have a living constituency of people who feel a strong allegiance
to this language.  No other North American contact language could possibly
claim the same (Michif perhaps excepted).  I'm grateful to all of you on
this list for your care.
