NOTICE TO THE CHINOOK LIST:

>      One group of enthusiasts, the "Jargonauts," arose in Oregon City and,
> after some months of dormancy, has re-emerged to meet regularly.  Persons
> interested in finding out more about this fascinating (and useful) segment
> of Northwest culture are welcome at monthly [first Sunday afternoon]
> meetings of the group at the Museum of the Oregon Territory in Oregon

BUT PLEASE NOTE:
    The May [6th] meeting [ONLY] will not be at the Museum but rather at
Champoeg Park, near Newberg, OR, in connection with their annual
celebration, beginning at 10 a.m.   Entrance is $3.  Look for the banner
proclaiming "CHINOOK."  Again, all are welcome.  The regular Museum meetings
will resume on June 3rd.
