Klahowya, sikhs,
Again in Excel 2000 (not Word, sorry for that mistake), here is a Chinook-Wawa word-search puzzle. It's much smaller and easier than the first one, and is written in "ahnkuttie" (old-fashioned) spellings that you can easily find in any Jargon book in your local library. Here are your clues: (1) The words in this one all refer to living things, and (2) There are hardly any letters in it that aren't used in the Jargon words.
Who will volunteer to post this puzzle on their website? Please let the CHINOOK list know the URL if you do that.
Again, my address is 1024 W. 13th (#3), Spokane, WA, 99204-3809, USA...The the person who mails me the solution containing the most words, postmarked by March 15th, gets a potlatch of $10 made in their name to the LINGUIST List Fund.
Happy searching! Klaksta alki tlap elip hiyu tenass-wawa?
Dave Robertson,
mesika klahowyum elite
