any gaelic speakers out there

You will probably get much more useful advice than this but if your friend
is really stuck, St.Michael's College at the University of Toronto has a
Celtic Studies program and offers language courses in Irish, Scots Gaelic,
Welsh, etc. We have the calender here (Forrest is thinking about taking
Irish after our trip to Ireland!) and would be happy to give you some names
and contact info.
