The item /kw''ayts/  in Yakima is a loan from CJ /kwa'aytst/. Other =
Pacific NEW languages acquired CJ numerals; this is the case with =
Northern Kalapuya, I believe.  Of course the stron similarity bertween =
Chinook (and CJ) and Salish forms for 'six' is still intriguing.
