Those of you endowed with an appreciation of kitsch may be amused that that "Besieged in Pekin by the Boxers" article mentioned in a recent post here also contains, in Chinook Jargon, a mention of the Chinese Boxers possessing "mawsir moskits, chi pi ilip tlus" which I read as "Mauser guns, new & improved".
