Mark, Jim,
In case there turns out to be a will to schedule the Jargon gathering
alongside the Salish Conference this year (it gets talked about pretty
often), be advised the Salish thing will be held at Lillooet, BC this
August.
That's in the heart of "Kamloops Wawa" country, and some folks in that area
might be interested in sharing stories of their families' connection with
Jargon. I have met some who do have such stories.
If the Chinook gathering is held in Vancouver, BC (another idea that's been
floated), would that be good for many of you?
On a slightly different note, I've received an invitation to give a public
lecture and brief class on Chinook Jargon during my research trip in
Southeast Alaska this summer. Anyone reading this who would be interested,
please feel free to contact me. I'd be happy to meet you!
