Chinook Jargon shop in Ketchikan

I have it on good authority (someone sent me a photo) that there's a shop
in Ketchikan, Alaska named Chinook Jargon.  Looks like a tourist-oriented
souvenir business.  What a strange name for a shop--or am I the only one
that thinks so?
