word-stock of CJ

WSU Press will be publishing my Lewis and Clark Lexicon this fall, and
my editor would like to include in the CHINOOK entry an estimate of the
total word-stock of the Jargon both early and late in its career. Can
anyone oblige me with such an estimate? I'd much appreciate any help.
