Chinuk Wawa shorthand in two odd places

---Father Le Jeune's brother Yves wrote, in a letter that was quoted
verbatim in Kamloops Wawa, that on two different occasions he carried
copies of Kamloops Wawa to public blessings that Pope Leo XIII was
giving, "so the Chinook paper was blessed".

---Father Le Jeune (of Kamloops) wrote about visiting the Indian prisoners
in the provincial jail at New Westminster, BC, who enthusiastically took
to the shorthand and to Kamloops Wawa.  So did the head of the jail, and
some white prisoners.
