Panties in Jargon

Terry Klokeid's 1968 Salish Conference paper on "Linguistic Acculturation
in Nitinat" mentions a word /walo/ "panties" which he says is borrowed from
Jargon.

I have 3 little kids & a dissertation to write, so forgive my denseness: Is
this word documented in Jargon?

Or was it maybe called "Chinook" by Nitinat speakers because it sounded
foreign?
