"Chinook" in Michif

I'm enjoying looking through "The Michif Dictionary: Turtle Mountain
Chippewa Cree" by Patline Laverdure & Ida Rose Allard, edited by John C.
Crawford (Winnipeg: Pemmican, 1983).

Just for fun, I want to share the word(s) for "Chinook", also
spelled "Shinook" here:

- aen ptsi vawn shoo li boo praentawn
(example: Li vawn shoo tihkishwayw la neezh, 'The chinook wind melts
snow.')

- aen vawn shoo awn n'ivayr

If you know some French, you'll figure out most of the words. One word
here is from Ojibwe or Cree.
