Hello,

Yes, my excellent 'dictionnaire des canadianismes' has
'un naveau' for 'un navet'.
Funny (but unrelated to our CW), whereas 'un navet'
means 'a turkey (lousy film)' in standard French
slang, 'un naveau' is apparently 'a moron' in Quebec
slang.
