Thus, "dic" is in fact the shorthand trancription of the English word "days" and should be pronounced [diz].
Me too I have noticed that in the Kamloops shorthand they use the Duployan letter "z" (= Duployan "s" with a dot over it) for [ts]; and, in parallel, the Duployan "j" (= Duployan "sh" with a dot under it) for English "ch". But in this case, the "z" is to be read [z], not [ts] as usually.
