CJ use in Victoria, 2007

I ran into a student who took my CJ class in 2005.  She mentioned that the 
other day an "old-timer" from Nanaimo or close by had addressed her on the 
street with "Klahowya, tillicum" and some other Jargon.  I wonder if he 
thought she was Native?  (She is.)  Interesting to hear the rare anecdote 
of spontaneous Jargon use these days.
