Pages 41 & 320 refer to Jargon being used by whites in dealing with Idaho
Indians.
Page 41 talks about George Grimes speaking it with Bannocks (?) in 1862.
Page 320 tells of Frank Coffin talking CJ with a Native man who didn't know
it as well as he in 1863.
Both occurrences seem to have been in southern Idaho. Maybe any CJ that was
used in Idaho was a pretty direct by-product of the Oregon Trail.
