Corpora: Exploiting bibliography part for Topic Identification?

Hello everybody,

I am looking for some literature hint, since I remember having read
about someone making use of the bibliography part at the end of texts
in order to identify the topic of those texts (or to summarize them).
The problem is: I do not remember the respective source ...

Can anybody help me?
