Corpora: Job: Research Officer, Leeds Electronic Texts Centre

Following promotion of the current Research Officer, a vacancy will be
available from 1st April, for the remainder of her 1 year contract as a
Research Officer with teaching duties.  The post is jointly supported by
the School of Computing and by the Electronic Text Centre, and its main
duties involve:

1.  Development of the Electronic Text Centre (encoding and distribution
strategies, text production etc) in liaison with the Arts Faculty.

2.  Teaching on ACOM "Electronic Texts" (requires understanding
of TEI/ XML markup, and appreciation of the uses of electronic
texts in humanities disciplines in particular)

3.  Teaching on ACOM "Computing for Linguists" (requires good
understanding of languages, and translation in particular, as well as
relevant technical know-how).
