we are proud and happy to announce the new release of the OntoEdit v1.02 Ontology Engineering Workbench. OntoEdit is a development environment for design, adaptation and import of knowledge models for application systems.

What's different to other ontology development environments?!
OntoEdit v1.02 free version supports multilingual development of ontologies and multiple inheritance. The current functionality of OntoEdit v1.02 free version also includes: 
  a.. definition of concepts in a concept hierarchy 
  b.. multiple inheritance 
  c.. definition of local relations 
  d.. definition of instances 
  e.. multilinguality 
  f.. basic axiom definition such as disjoint concepts, symmetric relations, inverse, transitive relations, etc. 
  g.. OXML import/export 
  h.. DAML+OIL import/export 
  i.. RDF import 
  j.. Flogic import/export, the data format supported by the inference engine OntoBroker

We also offer a professional version of OntoEdit with additional features (e.g. various export filters and inferencing support). In the next months, an open plug-in structure for OntoEdit will be developed.
