We have the pleasure to announce the availability of 5,813
English-Portuguese (European variant) translation rules, developed by Logos
corporation for use in their MT system, in

This resource was the result of an agreement between Logos Corporation and
the Portuguese Science and Technology Foundation (FCT), the funding agency
of the Portuguese Ministry of Science and Technology, given the latter's
priority in fostering the development and availability of resources for the
processing of Portuguese.

The Computational Processing of Portuguese project is in this case acting
simply as a facilitator in the process of making resources available and
well-known to the research community. We use this opportunity to restate
our mission (as an incipient Resource Center for Portuguese) to
redistribute and publicize any resources for Portuguese, and encourage
owners and developers to contact us and/or visit our Web site.
