Educational Testing Service, an international leader in the field of
educational measurement, has a Research Scientist opening in the Center for
Assessment and Design, part of the Statistics and Research Division.  The
Scientist position involves applying scientific, technical and software
engineering skills in designing and conducting natural language processing
research studies and in developing and contributing to the development of
new products or services for education.

REQUIREMENTS
A doctoral degree in Computer Science or Linguistics with solid
computational linguistics experience and an interest in natural language
processing research for purposes of automated writing analysis, instruction
and scoring are required.  Evidence of independent substantive research
experience is required and the successful candidate is expected to be able
to contribute to new or modified theories of natural language processing as
applied to educational and psychological processes.
