5th Corpus Linguistics Symposium in Sao Paulo, Brazil
The Symposium is part of 12th InPLA, Applied Linguistics Conference

25 or 26 or 27 April 2002
[Exact date will be announced later, as this will depend on the final program of
12th InPLA]

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS: 1 December 2001

Call for Papers: As in previous years, the purpose of the 5th Corpus Linguistics
symposium is to bring together researchers and students in Brazil and elsewhere
doing research in corpus linguistics. Appropriate topics for presentations
include (but are not limited to):

-corpus-based language description
-use of corpora in language learning and teaching
-phraseology
-corpus creation
-corpus annotation
-translation
-NLP
-lexicography
-genre / discourse analysis
-tagging/parsing
-concordancing
-software development

We apologize that the exact date of the symposium cannot be announced at this
stage.
The exact date depends on the program of the whole InPLA conference, which will
be finalized by March 2002.

Presentations will be 20 minutes in length followed by 10 minutes of
questions/answers. Papers may be presented in Portuguese, English or
Spanish. Papers may be submitted for publication in
Intercambio, the proceedings of InPLA (the conference which the
symposium is part of). Guidelines for authors are available at
the Intercambio website (www.intercambio.f2s.com).
