Corpora: Interlinear text

Dear list members,

I'm looking for literature that looks at interlinear text from a theoretical
(semiotic? text linguistic?) angle, i.e. that goes beyond its "mere"
application in transcription/annotation etc. Does anybody know about such
literature?
