The deadline for submissions to the CONFERENCE ON METAPHOR IN LANGUAGE AND
THOUGHT is fast approaching: 30 May 2002. Please check the website for my

We invite abstracts on all topics related to the conference theme, including:

typology of metaphor in language;
metaphor and electronic corpus analysis;
metaphor identification and processing;
interaction between metaphor in language and metaphor in thought;
metaphor & discourse;
metaphor ,cognition and culture;
metaphor, semantics and pragmatics.

The conference will be held from 21-25 OCTOBER 2002 at the CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY
OF SÃO PAULO,
SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL
